Hello readers. I hope everybody’s doing well. So, there’s not really been much to report this month. Much of my month’s been spent networking with fellow creatives, working on creative projects and quality time spent with the lady I love. I did have a review planned, but it’ll take a few days to finish. In…

  • Fawlty Towers Celebrates 50 Years + Prunella Scales, RIP

Hello everybody, So I’ve had a busy month, following another fairly busy month. My friend from China recently returned, so we’ve been having a catch-up. So I shall keep this month’s post brief. Last year, I wrote a review of Mary Poppins, considering the movie’s 60th anniversary. I’ve been planning to write some similar reviews…

Earlier this month, I hit a milestone that gave my skillset a nice little update — for the first time in over ten years, I was the prompter for a play at The Little Theatre in Leicester. After weeks of hard work, it felt great to see it all pay off. But that’s not all!…

  • Beyond the Screen: A New Achievement in First Aid – May 2025

May has proven to be a whirlwind month, juggling film projects and my ongoing book endeavor. But amidst the creative flurry, I’m thrilled to share some personal news: I’ve recently earned my First Aid certification! This opportunity arose through BECTU, the trade union dedicated to media professionals, who advertised a course run by Lazarus Training.…

  • White As Snow

Hello readers, I hope you had a great Easter break—I certainly did! For this post, I wanted to share my thoughts on Disney’s latest live-action remake, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the conversations it’s sparked. As many will know, Snow White was the first full-length animated feature from Walt Disney Studios. While it’s…

  • Happy Shove Tuesday / Ash Wednesday / World Book Day!

Yesterday was that time of year when the eve of Lent had just begun; many households celebrated by manufacturing pancakes, and some people planned to give up something for Lent, sometimes eating that particular food product for the last time until Easter. After all, as the Bible stated, Jesus Christ consumed his final piece of…

  • Announcement (February 2025)

Once a year, Leicestershire, my hometown, brings the nation some laughs with the annual Leicester Comedy Festival. As part of the festival, FlipYou Comedy, an organisation that specialises in shot comedy films, founded by Mike Yeoman, who I have personally worked with, is putting on a short film screening event in a couple of Saturdays…
