September ’26 – Animation in the Works

This month, I haven’t had much chance to write because I’ve been busy sorting out utility bills. With everything due to increase in price very soon, it’s time to prepare for the worst.

So I thought I’d share a few snippets of how I’ve been getting on with one of my projects.

So here, I’ve constructed the “bones” for one of my characters…

…which has supported the alignment for the drawing of that particular character – that being the Cheetah.

And here is a rough drawing of the Sloth.

I built the bones in Blender, and I drew the 2D drawings in Illustrator. But I thought I’d show the progress I made on this film. The final result will look slightly different.

Of course, I understand that my animation methods may be a little different from how most animators do it. But from what I’ve learned recently, the European animation industry is known to use different methods, and I don’t just mean whether they’re hand-drawn, CGI, or stop-motion.
